Farley is Feral.

1. (especially of an animal) in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication.
2. resembling a wild animal

Amid the current situation in our world with COVID-19, we have been practicing social distancing and sanitizing all the things. Yesterday evening, after dinner, we asked everyone to come upstairs and work together to clean their rooms and disinfect everything. Farley wasn’t having it so he came up with his own plan.

Idel and Hayden were down the street so we sent a message asking them to come help for a bit. They caught the escape artist, a few houses down, and shuffled him back inside. Farley, still determined to make a run for it, and even more angry, waited for his brothers to be out of sight…

Evidently, he changed his mind about running. Hayden and Idel’s best buddy, Lane, had left his scooter on the porch after they caught Farley in the initial escape…

Farley was sure he was about to be caught after dropping the scooter, so he high tailed it on foot again until the coast was clear.

On Lane’s scooter, he took himself to the park, played for bit, but when it got dark, he asked for some help from very kind neighbors. He spelled his name for them when they asked for his mom’s phone number and lead his rescue brigade right back home.

Needless to say, alarms are now set on the doors.

I will be accepting my “Mother of the Year” award in the coming weeks. Thank you for all of your love and support. My new book, “How to be the Best Mom Ever” will be out Summer 2021.

In the meantime, I’ll be googling ways to domesticate our child. Any suggestions? #sendwine
